Shree despatches 13.81% more in September
Shree Cements Limited has recorded a 13.81 per cent growth in despatches during September. It has despatched 6,80,170 tonnes last month as against 5,97,650 tonnes during the corresponding period last year. Its total cumulative despatch for the first half of the current fiscal (April – September) stands at 45,01,800 metric tonnes, which is 28.99 per cent higher than the corresponding period of the last last financial year.

Toxic waste disposal at cement plan
Even as legal experts refuse to buy government’s claim that 350 tonnes of waste is no source of pollution and factory premises pose no health risk to humans, a study is going on to incinerate the waste in some cement kiln. According to sources, a final report would come by end of this month or in January. If a well placed government source is to be believed, the Central Pollution Control Board and National Council for Cement and Building Material are in dialogues over the issue.
