Caretel Infotech, a business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider from the Dalmia group, has bagged a two-year contract from state-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) to manage the latter’s call centre. The financial terms were not disclosed.

The contract is for an initial 200 seats, and this will help MTNL to save costs and increase profitability, Caretel said in a statement issued here today.
Under the deal, Caretel will manage in-bound call centre operations for MTNL’s GSM services in Mumbai, and offer multi-lingual voice and data support through its call centre.
The Dalmia group company will also provide billing support, outbound calling for lead generation, telemarketing and billing reminders for MTNL’s subscribers.
“We see great potential business in the Indian telecom market in coming days and would continue adding more names to the growing list of our clients around the country,” Caretel Infotech CEO Amit Roy said.
