CorporateHaryana to promote bed & breakfast scheme
Eyeing the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in India as an opportunity to promote tourism in the state, the Haryana government has decided to introduce a bed-and-breakfast scheme.

The scheme, to be implemented in Gurgaon, would enable house owners to rent out their premises to the tourists coming for the Games
Speaking about the rationale behind the scheme, an official spokesman revealed, the central government had approved around 25 houses in Gurgaon which would be converted into guesthouses. The spokesman added the introduction of bed-and-breakfast scheme for NCR region could fill in the gap between the required number of rooms for the Commonwealth Games and those that could be provided by hotels. The spokesman also said the registration and other processes had also been simplified.
