Tata Comm Q3 net zooms threefold to Rs 282 cr

Tata Communications today said its net profit surged over three fold to Rs 281.80 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, over the same period previous fiscal. - GMR Infra Q3 PAT plunges 85% to Rs 9 cr - Tata Comm eyes big gains in media space - Britannia net down 37% - Apollo Hospitals net rises 49% - Cipla net up 29% at Rs 289 crore - More goverment banks take a hit on net profit in third quarter The company"s revenues from telecommunication services declined to Rs 769.75 crore for the latest quarter against Rs 999.48 crore for the same period last fiscal, Tata Comm said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). For the nine month period ended December 31, 2009, the company posted a net profit of Rs 324.19 crore against Rs 213.58 crore for the same period last fiscal. Shares of Tata Communications were trading at Rs 322 on the BSE, up 3.34 per cent from previous close.
